Happy Thanksgiving!

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.

You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands has produced this wealth for me." But remember the LORD your God, for it is he that gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;

his love endures forever!

Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story --

those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,

those he gathered from the lands,

from east and west, from north and south.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love

and his wonderful deeds for mankind,

for he satisfies the thirsty

and fills the hungry with good things.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love

for he breaks down gates of bronze

and cuts through bars of iron.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love

Let them sacrifice thank offerings

and tell of his works with songs of joy.

and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people

and praise him in the council of the elders.

Let the one who is wise heed these things

and ponder the loving deeds of the LORD.
