February's Books Completed and Reviewed

A Note Yet Unsung (A Belmont Mansion Novel) by Tamera Alexander - Rebekah is a gifted musician and Tate is a talented conductor. Both are pursuing their dreams and ambitions, but what are they willing to sacrifice in order to pursue their relationship? (Read my full review HERE.)
Tears ran down her cheeks and onto the violin, and while she felt protective of the instrument and didn't wish to harm the finish, an almost tangible presence told her not to worry, that her tears would merely blend with those already she upon the instrument through the years, and that the music would somehow be all the sweeter for it.

A Perilous Undertaking (A Veronica Speedwell Mystery) by Deanna Raybourn - Veronica and Stoker take on another mystery to solve, and wind up investigating murder in a Bohemian artists community. (Read my full review HERE.)
Seeing Sir Rupert so deeply in his cups, I realized it would be taking the most unfair advantage of the situation to questions him about Lord Templeton-Vane's connection with the Elysian Grotto. Naturally, I wasted no time in doing so.

A Christmas Valentine by Jamie Carie - A sweet, light reading romance novella. (Read my full review HERE.)
"Are you breaking up with me?" Her heart skipped a beat as anger turned to shock and then back to anger. "Are you actually breaking up with me?"

Rules of Murder (A Drew Farthering Mystery) by Julianna Deering - British gentleman Drew Farthering enlists the help of a couple of friends to investigate the mysterious deaths at his family's house party. One was definitely murder - was the other just a coincidence? (Read my full review HERE.)
Drew stared at Birdsong in disbelief. "I didn't kill him, if that's what you mean. I'm not saying I feel any great bereavement over his passing, but I've never thought murder a very sporting way to settle an argument."

Against the Tide by Elizabeth Camden - Lydia takes on extra translating work from the mysterious Bane, and finds herself compelled to help him battle a formidable enemy. (Read my full review HERE.)
If he would just give something to Karl or Jacob to translate, she wouldn't feel so insecure, but Bane's entire focus was on her when he came to the office, and she simply could not tolerate it any more. It was embarrassing to even think a man of such angelic beauty might be interested in her, but what other reason could there be?

During February I continued reading:

Here, There Be Dragons (Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica) by James A. Owen
It took only moments for the smaller ship to become completely overrun by Wendigo. Whatever bravado the companions' swords had birthed was swallowed up by common sense, and they dropped their weapons.

During February I started reading:

Shepherd, Potter, Spy and the Star Namer by Peggy Miracle Consolver - Just got started on this historical novel telling the story of the Hebrews coming to Canaan - from the point of view of a young Canaanite boy.
Elkanah turned to rejoin his flock and tossed these words over his shoulder. "Keep alert and watch for my signal to move up to the water.""Water? From a rock?"

To the Farthest Shores by Elizabeth Camden - A brand new novel by Elizabeth Camden, in which an army nurse comes back into contact with the dashing young officer that broke her heart years ago.
She stood but hesitated in the doorway. Listening to these rumors about Ryan was torture, but she needed to hear them. Even now, the scratching of Major Kinnear's pencil recorded detail after detail that might send Ryan before a court-martial.

Baseball Faith: 52 MLB Stars Reflect on Their Faith by Rob Maadi - Favorite Scriptures, brief testimonies, and short devotional thoughts from baseball players.
They compete hard on the field and play to win. In real life, they're all on the same team. They're a brotherhood, a fraternity, a group of men who share a passion for Christ.

Coming Up in March!
My Heart Belongs in Fort Bliss, Texas: Priscilla’s Reveille by Erica Vetsch
All in Good Time (The Gilded Legacy) by Maureen Lang

Sanditon by Jane Austen
Lady Susan by Jane Austen

I finished reading . . .

Rules of Murder (A Drew Farthering Mystery) by Julianna Deering - A combination of cozy mystery and book noir as gentleman Drew Farthering teams up with his friend Nick and American guest Madeline Parker to solve a murder mystery.  (Read my full review HERE.)

Against the Tide by Elizabeth Camden - Lydia and Bane work together to defeat a dangerous enemy, and Lydia hopes that they can spend their lives together once this goal is accomplished. (Read my full review HERE.)

I'm currently reading . . .

Shepherd, Potter, Spy and the Star Namer by Peggy Miracle Consolver - I'm reviewing this book for the Homeschool Review Crew.

To the Farthest Shores by Elizabeth Camden - The moment I finished one Camden novel, I got started on another! This one courtesy of Bethany House for a review. Isn't the cover beautiful?

Baseball Faith: 52 MLB Stars Reflect on Their Faith by Rob Maadi - Have been browsing through this book of devotional thoughts from baseball players.

Here, There Be Dragons (Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica) by James A. Owen - this one got put on the backburner during the past week or so, but I'm still working on it.
