For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
~Romans 15:4-7~
Oh that we could please learn from the past and accept one another and love one another and live in a peaceful world.
ReplyDeleteMay we learn from every word written and ask Him to give us the same attitude as Christ towards one another. We so need this attitude.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I read that verse and others like it in light of all God's work in the nation of Israel, I am astonished and grateful.
ReplyDeleteWe sorely need endurance these days. The first verse is timely as I was discouraged earlier today by a Twitter thread by professing Christians downplaying the Bible, especially the OT.It's all given to teach us.
ReplyDeleteI often put the Romans 15 verses on wedding cards, but it's good for all of us who follow Him.
