Here is the weekly bookish question in the Book Blogger Hop, hosted by Billy at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.
This Week's Question: When you write your reviews, which do you discuss more - the plot or the characters?
My Answer: I try to give attention to both, because if a story is truly lacking in one of those areas, it won't work well. But I think I discuss plot more. I tend to write a synopsis of the story and at least allude to the major questions that the plot sets up. Then I talk a little about what I thought of the plot and characters, and what was particularly praiseworthy or was disappointing in my opinion.

Awhile ago a fellow book blogger made the observation that we visit and comment on all kinds of other bookish posts―our current reading lists, teasers, giveaways, summaries, and the like―but it seems like it's not nearly as common to comment on the actual reviews. So I don't know how much difference it will make in the grand scheme of things, but I decided to do my part and offer a monthly link-up just for review posts. Watch for the first link-up during the last week of June, a couple days ahead of the first of the month, and I will plan on a new one to open on the first of each month after that. Share posts of book reviews that you'd like to highlight . . . visit, leave comments, and share the other reviews.

I say I talk more about the characters but sometimes it depends with sticks out more. Some books are more character driven and others are more plot driven.
